Tattoo Preparation Checklist

Hydrate

Drinkplenty of water before, during and after your appointment this will help you sit better and help the tattoo heal quicker. We have bottled water available in the shop.

Moisturise

It is a good idea to moisturise and exfoliate your skin once or twice a day leading up to your appointment. If you have a skin condition please speak with your artist during booking.

Shave

Your artist will shave the area being tattooed with a disposable razor, but if you’re particularly hairy using a clipper before your appointment would be helpful.

A small amount of light body hair is fine, the tattoo artist on the day can shave the area for you. If you intend to wax the area please do it well in advance of your appointment date.

Rest

Make sure you have plenty of rest and get a solid nights sleep. Tiredness can lead to you twitching which can affect how cleanly the tattoo can be applied.

Eat

Eating a healthy well balanced meal before a tattoo, your body will need the energy. When you are hungry pain management is a more difficult task and you are also more likely to tense up.

Snacks

Bring snacks with you especially if you are sitting for a long session.
There is a corner shop nearby if you need to restock.

Clothing

Make sure to wear loose comfortable clothing, and although every effort it made to protect your clothing from ink, it is entirely possible that ink may splatter onto your clothing. Also be mindful of where you are being tattooed and wear appropriate clothing to give the tattoo artist access.

Be Sober

Please arrive sober for your tattoo we will refuse service to anyone intoxicated

Pain Relief

It is acceptable to take over the counter pain relief before and/or during your tattoo session. If you have any questions on this please talk to a medical profession.
Numbing cream is okay to use but please research and apply this yourself. Any questions can be answered by your artist.

ID

Please do bring ID with you to your appointment as it may be asked for by your artist. It is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18.
